Benito Moschini, known by his stage name Benny Camaro, seems to have had his musical path written in the stars from the very beginning. “My musical journey feels like it was always there, ever since I was a child,” he recounts, remembering “when at the age of 4, I was gifted a one-octave keyboard, and it was the only toy that truly captivated me. From there, it was studying at the conservatory, my first live shows in the Naples area, and I believe that’s precisely the moment I decided this would be my life’s work.”

That decision sparked a multifaceted career. Starting from clubs in Costa Smeralda and Milan in the Nineties, he has become a cornerstone of the Italian house scene—a respected producer and an electrifying performer, capable of uniquely blending mixing, singing, and live sound into one show.
His production style, a deep house sound infused with soul, funk, and rock, has found a home on both major and independent labels. However, the most prestigious recognition arrived recently: his contribution to writing “Rarra” for Articolo 31’s album “Protomaranza” was certified Gold by FIMI. “Then in 2025 came the gold record for a production included in Articolo 31’s album ‘Protomaranza.’ It was a great personal satisfaction,” he admits. This milestone adds to earlier thrills, like the explosive success of “Las Dos Lunas”: “Actually, my first big emotion was ‘Las Dos Lunas,’ produced in 2015. It had an incredible run… Tiësto fell in love with it and wanted it as the first record for his (at the time) newly founded label AFTR:HRS. For me, it was a huge emotion, and the track has reached almost 2,000,000 streams on Spotify alone.”

These successes are not solitary achievements. Benny Camaro acknowledges the value of collaboration and his support network: “There are many people I must thank for this journey, which is still ongoing. But immediately, I feel I have to thank my dear friend Wlady, who has always supported and spurred me on in all my projects. He did much more by introducing me to his brother Jad (Articolo 31), with whom I immediately had a great connection… from them came the proposal to collaborate on the new Articolo 31 album project, I was over the moon. I will never stop thanking them.”
Today, while he remains a staple in Milan’s venues, produces for Sushi & Sound Records, and brings his tech & melodic techno sound to clubs across Europe, his gaze is fixed on tomorrow. “I want to evolve towards ever bigger challenges,” he states. “I have a lot of studio work since receiving this recognition, and there’s also been a positive shift in the live circuit, especially outside Lombardy. We’re pushing the pedal and not stopping. The goal is always to make the music I love, unconditionally.” And among new projects in the pipeline and an openness to collaborations, he nurtures two dreams in particular: “I would really love to one day collaborate with Cremonini and with Ultimo, two artists I truly admire so much.” The journey, as he himself says, is still ongoing.
