“I share my story in hopes that it might help even just one person! 2 weeks ago, after a biopsy, I was diagnosed with a tumor. It was discovered by chance, through a friend’s experience; I had no symptoms and felt fine (apparently). I underwent ’emergency’ surgery 6/7 days after the diagnosis because there was no time, within a month or two at most the tumor would have spread beyond the organ containing it, leading to consequences I don’t even want to write about but you can imagine. I was very fortunate, very. Both because I discovered it in time and because my job gave me the means to undergo private surgery immediately.
To you I say, get checked, prevent. You don’t need to have symptoms or feel strange…I was feeling great. Get a checkup, and convince your friends/family to do the same. A preventive visit could spare you what I went through. In these cases, time is everything. Time is the most precious thing we have, to be with those who love us, and to take care of ourselves. The organ containing the tumor has been removed, now I’m fine. I’ve already left to play in Saudi Arabia and have returned; I can’t stay still! Fortunately, my tour manager/friend knows how to do the injections. Now I’m fine! I was very fortunate, very! Take care of yourselves”.
