Tesla has once again made headlines with the introduction of the techno club “Hamster” inside its Gigafactory in Grünheide. Conceived by factory director André Thierig, this exclusive club offers employees a unique venue to unwind, featuring a futuristic ambiance complete with laser lights and DJ performances. The initiative fulfills a vision of CEO Elon Musk, who in 2020 envisioned a “mega rave cave” beneath the Gigafactory.
This new space not only boosts employee morale but also enhances Tesla’s innovative and dynamic brand image. However, access to the club is restricted to employees, and the frequency of events remains unclear. This development coincides with Tesla’s plans for further expansion of its European factory, despite local environmental concerns. The Grünheide Gigafactory continues to be the centerpiece of Tesla’s European ambitions, combining cutting-edge production with an unparalleled work environment.
