Between innovation, ethics, and new visions of the global electronic scene
The International Music Summit returns to Ibiza for its seventeenth edition, scheduled from April 22 to 24, 2026, in the stunning setting of the Mondrian & Hyde complex in Cala Llonga. It once again confirms itself as one of the most influential events for the electronic music industry and its global ecosystem.
The chosen theme, Reclaim The Dancefloor, is not just a slogan but a statement of intent, reflecting a historical moment in which technology, ethics, and club culture are increasingly intertwined. At the center of the discussion are crucial issues such as artificial intelligence, representation, industry sustainability, and the future of artists.
Significant attention will be given to the impact of AI, with sessions involving AFEM and Deezer, as well as the presentation of the NEO project by Mathame. On the cultural and social front, discussions will address censorship, online abuse, equity, and long-term artistic development, marking an increasingly conscious evolution of the summit in response to contemporary dynamics.
The 2026 edition will also celebrate Yann Pissenem, CEO of The Night League, with the IMS Legends Award, recognizing his key role in transforming global clubbing. Among the highlights is a focus on the Brazilian market, along with the celebration of the thirty-fifth anniversary of Nervous Records—elements that strengthen the dialogue between tradition and innovation.
The program will unfold across five distinct spaces, including IMS Academy, The Brave Space, and The Art of Areté, designed to host different levels of exchange among artists, managers, platforms, and industry professionals, with participation from organizations such as Beatport and Resident Advisor.
There will also be a strong female presence, in line with the spirit of International Women’s Day, featuring artists and professionals such as Sama’ Abdulhadi, Logic1000, and Marie Montexier, alongside key figures from media, management, and music organizations—highlighting an irreversible shift in the narrative of the electronic scene.
Among the most relevant topics are the future of afro electronic music, the role of managers in building new global careers, and cultural dynamics in times of crisis, outlining a critical and multifaceted perspective that goes beyond simply celebrating music.
As tradition dictates, the closing event will take place on April 24 in the UNESCO World Heritage setting of Dalt Vila, with a lineup including Pete Tong, 2manydjs, Sister Bliss, and Vintage Culture—sealing an event that continues to define the trajectory of contemporary dance music.
As Ibiza prepares for a new pivotal season, IMS confirms itself not only as a meeting point but as a laboratory of ideas, capable of concretely influencing the future of the industry across business, creativity, and cultural responsibility.
