There is one sector in which women continue to be underrepresented, often isolated, and rarely connected: that of Italian electronic music, where female DJs and producers are still peripheral figures in a predominantly male landscape. To address this lack of dialogue, Drop Like A Girl was born. This exclusive meeting, reserved exclusively for women in the DJ booth and recording studio, is organized by Kdope as part of the activities of Venus Vibes, the first and only Italian record label dedicated exclusively to female DJs and producers. And Drop Like A Girl event launch “DJ House Healer” book.
The event is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sushi&Sound, in the Darsena space in Milan. Admission is free, but registration is encouraged. Several female DJs and producers have already confirmed their participation. The event is free and takes place in an intentionally intimate format: not a party, not a show, but a moment of real connection between professionals. Valdo Spumanti will accompany the meeting with a toast designed to celebrate and highlight this spirit of professional sisterhood. The Chloe’s Love brand will also be present.
The program includes a collection of firsthand accounts, a space for collective dialogue, and, starting at 7:00 PM, the opening of the console: participants will be able to propose, listen to, and share their own musical productions in a shared listening experience. This technical moment is also, and above all, a political act. Because as history teaches, women who hold their heads high with pride change the industries they work in. Drop Like A Girl is not an event for Women’s Day. It’s a declaration that every day is women’s time.
