DJ Mag Top 100

The annual fan vote that names the world's number one DJ, loved by mainstage stars and loudly ignored by everyone else.

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs is an annual popularity poll run by the British magazine DJ Mag, in which fans vote for their favourite DJs.

It began in 1993 as an editorial list to celebrate the magazine’s hundredth issue and turned into a public vote in 1997, when Carl Cox took the first crown. By its twenty-fifth year it was drawing more than a million votes and billing itself as the biggest publicly voted music poll in the world. As of the 2025 edition, three DJs share the record of five wins each: Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix and David Guetta, whose fifth title was celebrated in Ibiza, the first time the number one had been crowned live on the island. Voting season has its own etiquette, with gentle reminders from DJs and less gentle ones from their fans, and an underground scene that claims not to care, then shares the results anyway.
